DECK is currently hosting our fourth Artist-In-Residency – Hu Qiren, and we are excited to announce his Open Studio happening on the 26th-27th of July, next weekend.
A combination of photography, video, objects and installation will illuminate the residency’s ethos to nurture new, experimental photographic endeavours in Singapore and Asia, while at the same time casting a spotlight on Qiren’s ongoing investigation on collective memory, value systems and the questioning of institutional structures. Come meet the artist and peek into his new works in creation at DECK’s cosy artist studio.
Hu Qiren is a lecturer in photography and an artist whose practice explores the myriad forms of image making, incorporating a wide range of media, including photography, video, installation and performance.
