PROGRAMMES MANAGER (EDUCATION)
Full-time

DECK provides digital photography and videography workshops to schools across Singapore, with the aim of raising levels of visual literacy among secondary and tertiary level students. At the heart of DECK is the belief that photography is a powerful mean of personal expression and empowerment. As a bridge between the arts and sciences, it also has the exciting potential in promoting cross-disciplinary learning.

Job description

  • Research and develop art photography course syllabus and lesson plans for schools
  • Organise and conduct art photography lessons and outdoor shoots for students
  • Liaise with DECK’s freelance instructors and schools to coordinate lesson schedule
  • Manage inventory and equipment maintenance of cameras
  • Research and develop outreach programmes for youths
  • Work with curator to design and plan education activities for public outreach
  • Support the team in donor engagement and fundraising activities

Requirements

  • Diploma/BA/Masters in Fine Art/Photography and extensive experience in related domain
  • 1 to 2 years of working experience
  • Experience in class teaching( photography/videography) and MOE instructor certification is a bonus
  • Passionate about working with youths and ability create positive learning environment
  • Willingness to work as a team to support DECK’s fundraising and donor engagement activities

 

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT & FUNDRAISING MANAGER
Full-time contract (1 year)

DECK is embarking to build a permanent photography arts centre in Singapore. Support the team in this dynamic transformation and drive the #BUILDECK fundraising campaign.

Job description

  • Create and implement business development and fundraising strategies and plans
  • Identify, engage and convert potential donors
  • Search for grants and other possible income
  • Manage grant application process and ensuring that reporting is tracked and meets donors’ expectations
  • Develop and nurture relationships with donors and funders
  • Recruiting and managing volunteers for fundraising projects
  • Develop plans and strategies for communicating and marketing fundraising promotional material
  • Liaise with relevant authorities and organisations for application of licenses and appeals, where applicable

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Arts Management, Social Services or related field
  • Min 5 years of working experience
  • Experience in fundraising and donor stewardship
  • Experience of a broad variety of business / fundraising opportunities relevant to the arts or social sector
  • Project management and organisational skills
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Active listening, negotiation and presentation skills
