This dialogue between the artist and the Cheng Jia Yun will provide more insights into Yu Tong’s working processes, his relationship to images, and the everyday routines that inform his work. They will also discuss two projects that Jia Yun had previously co-curated, involving artist.
Cheng Jia Yun is an assistant curator with the National Gallery Singapore, where her research focuses on art of post-war Southeast Asia. She has worked on the exhibitions Reframing Modernism (2016) and Awakenings: Art in Society in Asia 1960s-1990s (2018-19) alongside the Singapore and Southeast Asia galleries. Her past projects include opening day (2017-18) and browsing copy (2019).
