Peace News is a publication of Peace Centre’s past and present stories. Built in mid-1970s, Peace Centre (among other old shopping malls) marked Singapore’s rapid development in its first decade of independence. This publication tells the stories of aspiring shop owners, second-generation craftsman, and family-run businesses in the early Singapore. It also documents DECK’s 10-month exploration with artists and designers in the reimagination of Peace Centre’s memories through art and photography.

Postcards from the Future
By Song-Ming Ang

16 postcards, each 105 x 148mm

Postcards from the Future is the result of Song-Ming Ang and Jason Maling’s various experiments in their collaborative project, A Song to Change the World. Playing with conventions of naming and classification, each postcard is a mash-up of a music genre with terms from art history, philosophy, economics and pop culture, resulting in imaginary genres of music that do not yet exist but may one day profoundly affect our lives.
