9th Singapore Young Photographer Award Showcase

For the 9th Singapore Young Photographer Award, we invited photographers aged 13 to 25, based in Singapore, to share their unique perspectives on both the world around us and the world within. Under the theme Worlds Within, participants were encouraged to rediscover our natural environment and explore the connections that bind our communities together.

This nationwide award celebrates the vision and voice of young photographers who dare to see differently. We hope this showcase inspires you—regardless of age—to see the world anew through the viewfinder.

About

Founded by City Developments Limited (CDL) and championed by the late Chairman, Mr. Kwek Leng Joo, since 2006, the Singapore Young Photographer Award (SYPA) was established to nurture creativity, imagination, and a strong sense of artistry in photography.

To date, SYPA remains the only national platform dedicated to young photographers aged 13 to 25, and has successfully completed eight editions featuring exhibitions and youth-focused programmes.

Above all, SYPA believes that photography is a powerful medium for communication, self-expression, self-efficacy, and self-esteem.
