ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR
Mariko Watanabe trained as a book and paper conservator at West Dean College in Sussex, UK. Her passion for bookbinding and book conservation brought her on a journey to Japan, Scotland and England. Now based in Singapore, she continues to keep up with her skills and passion by making books for friends, family and her own bookshelves.
ABOUT THE THISTLE BINDERY & CO.
The Thistle Bindery & Co. was established in 2016 as the first physical store for the art practice, The Thistle Bindery. It brings together bookbinders, conservators and crafters who dabble in and enjoy sharing their passion for all things book-related.
