CALL FOR PARTICIPANTS — Hiding in Singapore: The Journey Between

About this Global Art Project
In Hiding in Singapore: The Journey Between, Liu Bolin engages 100 participants to explore Singapore’s cultural and historical evolution. Set against the iconic City Hall steps and Clifford Pier, the artwork uses these locations to symbolize key moments in the nation’s development. Through his body art technique, Bolin camouflages participants to visually represent Singapore’s transformation from a maritime hub shaped by early migrants to a multicultural metropolis. The piece highlights the blending of diverse communities and cultures, symbolizing how individual stories have contributed to the nation’s harmonious, dynamic identity and its growth from a port city to a thriving nation.
On 17 January at 5pm, the participants and artist will take a symbolic walk from City Hall to Clifford Pier.
