How to Make a Book with Steidl

January of this year, award recipients of Steidl Book Award Asia visited Steidl’s office in Göttingen, Germany, where they engaged in collaborative work with Mr. Gerhard Steidl himself. This autumn, each of the eight winners of Steidl Book Award Asia will have their respective work-collections published. The winners of the Steidl Book Award Japan however, are scheduled to begin their collaborative production work starting from January 2018.
The dialogue session between Steidl Book Award Asia and Japan, questions Steidl’s book-making process. This interchange between queries and responses vividly unravels the reality of book-making at Steidl, while also making observations on the art-book publishing world.
