In a spectacular first for Singapore's art scene, globally renowned multidisciplinary artist Liu Bolin — known as the 'Invisible Man' — will orchestrate his most ambitious public artwork ever, transforming 100-man into a living masterpiece at two of the nation's most treasured monuments. This landmark project, "Hiding in Singapore: The Journey Between", will see participants literally disappear into the fabric of Singapore's heritage as part of the nation's 60th birthday celebrations.

About

Organised by DECK in collaboration with Liu Bolin Studio, this groundbreaking initiative will unite Singaporeans from all walks of life — from former harbour boatmen to young professionals — in an unprecedented display of community art. Participants will be painted and choreographed to vanish into the grand steps of City Hall and the historic Clifford Pier, creating a powerful metaphor for Singapore’s journey from colonial port to global metropolis.

The project, supported by cultural partners The Fullerton Hotel Singapore and The Fullerton Bay Hotel Singapore, as well as venue supporter the National Gallery Singapore, marks a highlight of Singapore Art Week 2025. It follows Liu’s captivating solo performances in October 2024, where he mesmerised audiences by disappearing into the backdrop of Merlion Park and Chinatown Complex Hawker Centre during the Singapore International Photography Festival.
